Credentials
I attended Monmouth College in central Illinois and obtained my Bachelor's Degree in both Elementary Education and Spanish. While I was in college, I was lucky enough to be able to study abroad in Granada, Spain. During my time in Spain I had an internship at a local elementary school. Shortly after finishing my undergraduate degree, I obtained my ESL (English as a Second Language) endorsement from Aurora University. I have taught full day kindergarten for four years, first grade for two years and remote kindergarten at Walsh this past year. I am very excited to spend my 8th year of teaching moving up to 4th grade!
About me
My husband, Alex, and I live in Batavia where we both grew up. He is a high school health and PE teacher at Batavia High School as well as the varsity baseball coach. We have a four year old pit/pointer mix named Yabo (his name means home run). Outside of school, chances are you will find me somewhere outside, crafting or experimenting in the kitchen.
